General Discussion / Re: Compile SetupBuilder
« on: December 04, 2009, 10:59:04 AM »

I dowloaded the new beta and discovered my maintenance plan had expired.  I renewed and tried using the new maintenance plan key, but the install still says my key has expired.  Does it take some time on your system for the new key to update?

General Discussion / Compile SetupBuilder

If you attempt to use a variable in the path for the project file, the SetupBuilder compile action no longer works.  Once you use a variable, it no longer knows what version of SetupBuilder you are using and the action will fail.  Could we assign the version of setupbuilder in the options so variables can be used in this Action?

Thank you.

General Discussion / System Variable

Would it be possible to create a system variable for the path of the aprj file that has been opened?  Using path() in expressions returns the path of Build Automator.

General Discussion / Re: Save log to seperate file

This should have been obvious to me.  I had multiple projects create in one build automator file.  Once I seperated the projects into their own Build Automator file, then I have separate log files.

General Discussion / Save log to seperate file

Can the log file be saved to a log file with the same name as the Project Item that has just completed?  This would allow us to go back to the log file to determine if there were any issues, or to see when it was last run.

Would it be possible to add a function that is similar to Clarion's redirection file?  Currently I have my RED file set to compile to a release subdirectory.  When I add the Compile Multiple Clarion Applications Action, I have to manually set all the dll and exe files to my release directory.  If there was a RED file, Build Automator would know to automatically check in the Release sub directory for the dll and exe files.
It would also help if Build Automator didn't save absolute directories in paths.  What I mean by this is whatever directory the Build Automator project file is opened from is saved as the home directory (.\) and then all other sub directories are added from the RED file.  This would allow using the same Build Automator project file from different directories.  For example a support directory vs a new project directory.
